PASTOR IN CHARGE
George Agola Omolo was born again in 1988 while in primary school. In his own words “Actually, I was first introduced to Church by my grandmother in 1986. She literally grabbed my hand and led me to church. But the real turning point occurred in 1988 at an evening meeting hosted by my mum at our home. We had taken super and then the house fellowship begun. The guest speaker was Evangelist Joshua Awiti Kwanya (Currently the Bishop, VOSH –Rachuonyo Region). I was not sick in the body. I didn’t have any problem. We sat down on the mat expectantly as the word came forth and I was convicted of my sins and in total surrender I was on my knees, tears flowing and the evangelist led me to Christ. Oh the LORD touched me and immediately there was great joy in my soul and I felt such glorious peace in my life.” That marked the new beginning of relationship with Christ Jesus and a burning desire to witness for Jesus Christ. In 1992 he was baptized by immersion in water and was gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit.
While studying at Orero Boys High School (1996-1997), there was a mighty visitation of the Holy Spirit upon his life and he continued to witness for Christ among the students and staff.
At Kenyatta University, Pastor George was actively involved in the Kenyatta University Christian Union as Bible Study coordinator and also Assistant Missions coordinator of Nyanza Evangelistic Team. At the same time he served as a youth leader in the VOSH Church Nairobi region and at the national youth Committee of VOSH Church.
After graduation with Bachelor of Education (Arts) Kenyatta University in 2003, he was employed as a graduate teacher with the Government of Seychelles where he taught mathematics at Mont Fleuri Secondary school and also as a part time tutor at the Adult Learning and Distance Education Centre (ALDEC). It was in Seychelles that he joined RCCG on May 2004.
Under the mentorship of Pastor (Dr) Tunji he served in various departments as a minister in charge of Visitation, House Fellowship, and Search the Scriptures. In 2007 Pastor George was appointed to coordinate RCCG-Seychelles, a responsibility he carried for over two years. After resisting the call to full time ministry for some months, on 28th February 2009, he finally bowed to the voice of God and resigned from his teaching job so that he would fully commit his life to the work of ministry.
From May 2009, he began to serve as Personal Assistant to Pastor Prince Obasi-ike, the then the Regional Coordinator for RCCG in Eastern Africa. He has trained hundreds of ministry leaders through discipleship and leadership training programs of the church such as Workers In Training, School of Disciples and The Redeemed Christian Bible College.
In August 2016, Pastor George was commissioned by Pastor Prince Obasi-ike to start and lead RCCG in Kisii town. Apart from the pastoral work, he also coordinates the Redeemed Christian Bible College and The School of Disciples in RCCG-Eastern Africa 2. In recognition of his ministerial leadership, on 11th August 2019 he was ordained Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Pastor George holds Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Together with his wife Pastor Millicent Agola, they are happily serving God’s flock with integrity of heart and skillful hands.
